Firstly, due to the great guests at the London Film and Comic Con this July, I will be a) going both days (for Karen Gillan and possibly Mark Sheppard on the Saturday, and Alex Kingston on the Sunday), and b) short on money because of buying autographs and photos etc. I'm really wishing I had a Saturday job already, but I'm away too much this summer to get one yet...
Secondly, because I'm going on two days, I will be wearing TWO outfits! I've never done two days at a convention before, so it should be interesting. I've made an inaccurate-but-fine stetson!Doctor for the Saturday, because of the photos I'll be getting, whereas I'll be Luke Triton from the film 'Eternal Diva' and the game 'The Last Spectre' on the Sunday with my brother accompanying me as the great Professor Layton he is. Unfortunately, this means I can't get a photo with Alex Kingston, but I'll be getting her to sing my River Song journal, so that should be good. I'm getting rather excited, especially since my photo-ticket for Karen Gillan arrived last week.
Thirdly, I've got a couple of Doctor Who-related projects in the upcoming future. I'm going to be putting my planned costumes on hold until much later in the year, because the one I'll be making is needed in time for Weekend At The Asylum, a steampunk convention I'm going to in September - it's a neater version of Idris' dress from 'The Doctor's Wife'. I'll be making it over the summer, to be finished in time for 'Asylum', and, more specifically, the Empire Ball they hold there. I'll probably also wear it on the Sunday.
The other Who project is a scarf I'm planning to start, now I'm nearing the end of my first scarf (a replica of {...}'s from the webcomic 'Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name'). It's also an Idris!TARDIS inspired item - can you tell I adored that episode?
Okay, everything's written out now. I feel a lot better. Now, I have to sleep before my second-to-last exam...
